Carlisle Lodge is a large Victorian house situated in a predominantly residential area known as Meads. It has been a nursing home since 1984 and is now registered for a maximum of twenty residents in eighteen single and one double room, a number of which have ensuite facilities. All of the residents admitted to Carlisle Lodge are privately funded.
Carlisle Lodge is a family run home and is owned and Managed by Miss Diane Lawson who is a trained nurse and holds an Advanced Management for Care qualification. Diane has worked at Carlisle Lodge since 1989, been the Registered Manager since 1990 and will be took over ownership in September 2016. Diane has a wealth of knowledge and experience in elderly care and management and is looking forward to guiding Carlisle Lodge into the future.
Diane is supported by a Deputy Matron, who is also experienced in elderly care at a senior level, 6 RGN’s, 13 Care Assistants, 5 Domestic staff, 2 Cooks and a part time Maintenance person. Carlisle Lodge has a good staff retention record, with 5 staff being employed for over 20 years and a further 5 staff for over 10 years. Most of the staff live locally to the town and are therefore familiar to the area which we have found to be a help to our residents.
